Whisky

Jura Origin 10

Taste Slumbering for a full decade in quiet contentment, this beguiling spirit has a lingering taste of sweet pear, crushed apples and maple syrup with gentle notes of honey, caramel, soft liquorice and roasted coffee beans.

Monkey Shoulder

A superb blended malt whisky from William Grant, made with single malts from three famous Speyside distilleries. The result is a smooth, creamy, supple and very malty Scotch which works superbly well neat, over ice, or in whisky cocktails (where it really excels).

Laphroaig

Laphroaig tastes like Islay. Medium caramel in the glass, the Laphroaig 10 Year Old, which is their entry level Scotch, looks like any other whisky out there. Behind the obvious peatiness on the nose lurks a beautiful array of scents: smoke, decay, iodine, leather, seawater, charcoal, and wet stone.

Glenfiddich IPA Experiment

One of the first pair of entries in the Glenfiddich Experimental Series – a whisky finished in casks seasoned with India Pale Ale. The Speyside Craft Brewery created a special beer which was aged in ex-Glenfiddich casks for a month before they were returned to the distillery and filled with whisky for a three-month finishing period.

Glenfarcas

Lots of sherry and fruit in this, Glenfarclas 12 was originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. In 2006, it was named the “Best Sherried Whisky” in the Single Malt World Cup, and in 2007 and 2008 it won Gold at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival.

Scapa The Orcadian

A 2015 addition to the Scapa range, the Skiren is a handsomely honey’d single malt Scotch whisky which has been distilled in the Scotch whisky industry’s only remaining working Lomond Still! It was matured in first fill American oak casks, bringing plenty of vanilla and honey notes to the table. The name comes from the Old Norse word for “glittering bright skies”…

Tormore (14)

The Tormore 14 Year Old was introduced to the distillery’s core range in early 2014 (alongside a 16 Year Old bottling too). Don’t often hear much from Tormore, but they do put out some wonderful Speyside single malt – this one shows off the whisky’s light, elegant and creamy character excellently.

Nikka Coffey Grain

Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky has an essential component of the house blends, the Nikka Coffey Grain is an original single grain whisky, distilled mainly from corn in a Coffey still. Exotic, fruity and unique, it is meant for the connoisseur in search of an unconventional whisky.

The Arran Malt

Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.

Glenmorangie (12)

Warm spices mix with smooth chocolate covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee. Deliciously sweet sherry flavoured sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch combine to create complex warm spices. Long and satisfying finish with spiced orange and chocolate covered hazelnuts.

Strathisla (12)

With its long-established reputation as a distinguished dram, Strathisla 12 Year Old Single Malt is prized by the industry as the ‘connoisseur’s best kept secret’. A whisky produced with the love and pride of the distillery.

Bowmore

Bowmore was the first of Islay’s distilleries to receive a licence, springing fully-formed into official existence in 1779. It is likely that the founder of the distillery, one William Simson, had been been distilling in Bowmore since shortly after his arrival in 1766,at a time when Daniel Campbell the Younger (the laird of the island) was expanding the village into the island’s capital.
